Clothing
One's choice of clothing often depends on one's religious affiliation, yet despite a person's faith, the typical outfit worn in India is loose, and made of light material. Bright colors are popular, and white is very common. Indian men will often wear a doti, which is like a pair of loose pants. Many men wear turbans. The typical outfit of a woman is a sari, a straight, loose piece of cloth that is draped over the shoulders and around the body. Women will also often wear the kumkum, a spot of red or black painted on the forehead.
THESE ARE TYPICAL DHOTIS.
