Religion
The two main religions in Macao are Buddhism and Christianity, particularly Roman Catholicism. The Chinese who live in Macao mostly practice Buddhism, the local religion, while the Portuguese have brought the influence of Roman Catholicism, which can immediately be seen by the large number of churches. Macao is also the seat of a bishop. Also, Macao is a sort of center for the missionaries who venture out to convert the people of the surrounding regions. 2
