Napoleon’s Obituary Writing Assignment
You will choose at random to represent someone who lived during
Napoleon’s
lifetime.
After reading about and studying Napoleon’s achievements, you will
write an obituary (a notice of his death and assessment of his life) from
the perspective
of the person you have chosen.
You must include reference to at least three events from the French Revolution
Timeline.
When writing, take a stand on his life: Is he a hero? Did your life improve
because of his actions? How should he be commemorated?
Your paper should be no longer than 2 pages and does not need to include
any outside research.
Your grade will be based on maintaining a legitimate perspective, style,
and inclusion of factual information. (50 Points)
