First Semester Exam Review
Format for the Exam (100 Points Total) 10% of Semester Grade
- 25 Multiple Choice (1 Point Each)
- Map Section and Short Answer (5 Points Identification, 25 Points Paragraph)
- One Required Essay (50 Points)
Multiple Choice:
- Review multiple choice questions from previous tests (chapters 5 and 6 part 2).
- Review notes- all questions will come from there
Map Section:
- You will be asked to identify 5 locations on the map (regions, empires, national boundaries).
- Based on the map and areas of location, you will be asked an interpretive question about the map, which you should answer in one to two paragraphs.
- Review your handouts, the maps in the book, and the geographical themes we have discussed in class (empires, war, trade, colonialism).
Essay Question Choices:
Two of these essays will show up on your exam. You will choose to answer one. You must use concrete historical examples in your answer. Remember, more does not always mean that it is better. Keep your answers on the topic.
