Hunting is a controversial issue that forces most people into one of two categories: those who believe that hunting is ethical and should be allowed, and those who believe that hunting is wrong and should be stopped. Hunters and their supporters feel that they have the right to kill animals for several reasons. Some claim thatbecause humans are superior beings that have the innate right to do what they want with animals. Others believe that hunting is ethical as long as they eat what they kill. There are also those who say that they are doing everyone a favor because they are keeping the animal population under control. On the other side of the issue, there are people who are strongly against killing for sport. Often times animal rights activists, these people believe that animals have the right to be treated with respect. Hunting is a cruel and unnecessary activity and it should not be allowed.
