Is there a difference between teens idols and grown women exploiting their bodies in order to increase sales and gain popularity? Many will argue that an older mature woman has every right to wear what she wants in the privacy of her own home or during public events. Teenagers; however are under constant pressure to act and dress their age.
Teen idols such as Brittney Spears and Cristina Agulaira have a responsibility to their fans to stay convered up and set an exeample of how a young lady is supposed to carry herself. On stage these glittering stars wear the bear minimum which gives a false message to thier underdeveloped fans that less is more. Brittney and Cristina; however, believe that "age ain't nothin' but a number" and they have constitutional rights just like everyone else to dress and act whoever they please. Although young girls do look up to them for fashion tips, these trendy teen idols feel that their appearance on stage does not dictate their beliefs on who a young lady should carry herself on a daily basis.
Lil Kim and Toni Braxton believe their outrageous outfit are o.k. on a mature body but by no means should children or teenagers attempt to follow in their womanly footsteps. While Lil Kim uses nudity as her trademark, Toni feels it is ok to be shockingly sexy in order to make a lasting impression. These stars feel thier sensuality should not be fround upon because they are free to dress as they please and they feel they are mature enough to fully comprehend the consequences of thier actions. Teenagers and adults are both at different stages in thier lives, but should the age of the person dictate thier public appearance.
