Is it fair to test the academic competence
of Elementary school students by administering exams at the end of every
school year?
Intro
More and more schools today are relying
on standardized testing as the vehicle for assessing a students overall
performance. More and more politicians are eager to implement these "high
stakes" tests so that they can make sure that no students are being
pushed up to teh next grade level without understanding the fundamentals
of their present grade level. But are these tests a true measurement of
student achievement? These and other questions will be awnsered in my website.
