Criminal Justice System- general synopsis
Is our legal system so strict that it no longer allows a fair judgement to fit a specific crime, or is its harsh attitude toward all criminals a necessary component in forging a solution to our problems with crime? This site is about the California Criminal Justice System and the ethical controversy that has arisen out of the above question. I will address the issue focusing on the "Three-Strikes" law, because it best exemplifies the manner in which Californians have chosen to deal with crime.
