Outline For Lab Write-Ups

Abstract (3-5 sentences giving a summary of the paper with the main results and conclusions -examples of abstracts can be found on Dr. Dann's homepage under the science papers he's written.)

I Introduction (Explain how did experiment and the goals of it)

II Results
A. Data and Graphs (All data and any graphs go here, use data tables when appropriate, explain what you're doing and why)
B. Calculations (Show any and all calculations)
C. Main Results (Often done with a data table)
D. Answer Questions contained in lab here (put the number of question)

III. Sources of Error
(List with numbers or bullets the sources of error in order of importance and how they would affect the results)

IV Conclusion and Discussion(State main conclusion(s) backed up by your results and anything else that needs to be stated, i.e. interesting observations from your data, big errors, further experiments you would do, etc.)
