Community-Based Restoration Program

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FROM SAVE THE BAY CAREFULLY PRIOR TO YOUR DAY PARTICIPATING IN THE WETLANDS RESTORATION PROJECT

You will be outside for 2-5 hours. Here are a few suggestions on what to bring and wear:

  

      Wear: 

Remember: We will be outside all day. Dress for weather near the water rather than for the weather at home.  We will be doing hands-on restoration work in wetlands. No special clothes are needed, but wear clothes that can get dirty. Dress in layers. It is often 10 degrees colder, warmer, or much windier near water than it is inland.

If severe weather or high wind advisories are forecasted, the field trip may be cancelled. We will contact you in case of a cancellation, and make every effort to reschedule. 

Safety:           

Your field trip leader is certified in wilderness first aid and CPR.  All sites have been scouted to ensure there are no hazards or unsafe conditions. Field trip leaders carry a first aid kit and cell phone in case of emergency. 

Rules:  We want you to enjoy yourself, but we also want you to be safe and avoid injury.
