Mitochondria
Mitochondria, which are believed to have come from prokaryotic bacteria, are the site in the cell where the energy is transformed from sugars to ATP for the cell to use some refer to it as the power house of the cell. The energy created there, known as ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, is used to fuel the rest of the cell. Most of the energy created there is produced for the Eukaryotes because prokaryotes don't mitochondria.
